On Thursday 2nd of September, the Melbourne Press Club held its 2010 AFL Finals Luncheon.


First Lady of Football Caroline Wilson umpired as AFL COO Gillon McLachlan, Richmond coach Damien Hardwick and Lion legend Luke Power gazed into their crystal balls to predict the winners and wannabes.

MPC/Trawalla Foundation Arts Journalism Scholarship 2010


Entries are now open for the 2010 Arts Journalism Scholarship and close on Friday 3 September. The winner will receive a scholarship for $7500 to attend a significant international arts festival or event. Entry forms and criteria are now on the website under Events and other MPC Awards.

MPC/Siemens Award for Student Journalism 2010


Entries are now open for the 2010 Award for Student Journalism and close on Friday 8 October2010. The winner will receive $2000, 2 tickets to the Quill Awards Dinner in 2011 and 2 weeks of work experience at the ABC in Melbourne. Entry forms and criteria are now on the website under Events and other MPC Awards.
